To add an engraved message to the back of your marquetry artwork, you may upload an Adobe Illustrator or MS Word File.  To avoid a delay in your order, use our templates and adhere to the following guidelines:

 

 

We recommend a 16pt or larger font size (minimum 14).  Please do not adjust margins-- our template allows for a 6.5 x 6.5" text area.  You may NOT use images or symbols.  Add up to 500 characters using only these fonts:

Save as a MS Word document (version 2007 or earlier) and upload to the product page.

 

For Adobe Illustrator Files:

You may add up to 500 characters using any font or standard text symbols, but you must  convert your text to outlines as we may not have your chosen font.  Please keep in mind thicker fonts engrave much better than thin-lined fonts, and we cannot be held responsible if you choose a font that does not engrave well.  When in doubt, contact us or use one of the fonts above.  You may not add images or vector files, but you may add standard text symbols.  If you would like to add a company logo or small vector file, we will be happy to discuss your options, but a minimum order of 20 products will be required.

Save as an EPS file and upload it to the product page.

Any uploaded files not adhering to these guidelines will be rejected. If we reject your file, you will be notified by email within 1-2 business days excluding weekends and holidays.  If your file is rejected, you may choose to re-submit a file for our review. We will not be held responsible for spelling or grammar errors.  All text will be engraved on maple or a similar light wood.
